Stroke Rehabilitation
Our stroke rehabilitation treatment for post‐stroke sequelae involves promoting the circulation of qi and blood through a combination of 30 minutes of tuina (Chinese therapeutic massage) and acupuncture. Tuina is a form of massage therapy that involves manipulating the body's soft tissues to promote healing, while acupuncture involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to promote the circulation of qi and blood.
The goal is to alleviate symptoms such as muscle stiffness, hemiplegia, facial drooping, speech difficulties, numbness in the limbs, and limb tremors.
For patients within six months of stroke onset, the emphasis is on promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Beyond six months, the focus shifts to supplementing and nourishing qi and blood in order to strengthen the body's foundation and promote the regeneration of muscles and bones.
